BADD

Morning came and went in the usual manner-

“DON’T MAKE ME MAD…", “I HATE MORNING HAIR...", "WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?"
Sometimes I wonder if these guys will ever get anything accomplished.
BADD had disappeared and I went to look for him. I found him sitting in his captain’s chair on the bridge of his ship; he had this far away look in his eyes.
”What are you thinking about?" I asked.
“Do you remember the first time we met?” he asked.
“Yes,” I replied.” That’s strange, because I was thinking the same think earlier today."
”We were sent to settle a dispute between two moons. Who had the rights to mine the gas giant?” he mused. Then he proceeded to tell me the story of what had happened. “We were coming out of black space when all fire and brimstone broke loose on us. We were caught up in a wandering collapsar. It wasn’t in the navi- com and we were slung around like a carnival ride. Not fun, I tell you….those two goobers downstairs panicked and reengaged the Dem drive. We were too close to that gravity well and between the black hole’s pull and our own Dem drive, we were slung out of control. We did manage to get her under control and set down here; fairly un-damaged, but not good enough…. Who knows how long we’ll be here. Where ever here is? However, I am thankful to the Maker for getting us here in one piece.

I was expecting more, but he just sat there and continued to brood; as it was his character. I decided right then and there that I would start a visual record of these guys and try to draw it for you the viewers. Hopefully, these guys will share their adventures with me little by little….

Here is page one. I will continue to narrate throughout the complete adventure, because now, I am part of the adventure…
